Spring will soon be here and many will be embarking on Spring Cleaning of their Homes and Apartments. We have put together a list of tips to help you save money and time during your spring cleaning.

Whether it's cleaning the windows, trimming the trees, or aerating your lawn you can save by teaming up with neighbors to hire a professional. By organizing with your neighbors you can negotiate a group discount with and get cheaper and reasonable price because the service provider will save on travel time and mileage. Once the group schedules their appointments on the same day, the service provider will only have to make one trip to work on multiple homes. Or if you're a do it yourselfer, you can save even more money by sharing the costs of supplies and coordinating with your neighbors to get the work done.

Spring Cleaning also means eliminating some of the clutter that has accumulated over the winter months. There are plenty of ways to rid yourself of the things you no longer need. Whether if its something you could sell, donate , or just throw out. If you have furniture or larger items to sell, try putting an Ad on Craiglist, also websites like Free Cycle or Good Will, The Salvation Army, and other Non Profits will likely be interested in used household items. Many places will even pick up your donation at your home and provide you a Tax deduction on whatever  they take. And if you're doing a deep clean and have lots of things to throw away, see of your neighbors want to share the cost of a dumpster, saving on money while decluttering your house and your community.

Once your house is free of unwanted goods, it's time to clean. When cleaning the inside of your home keep in mind the simple and affordable home cleaning supplies you can create in your own kitchen. Lemon juice, vinegar, and baking soda can be used for all kinds of affective and nontoxic cleaning solutions that costs much less than retail versions and also offers a Green clean.
